A few weeks ago, I met our Zaega fitness expert, Jenny Evans, to shoot a demo video for her product, PowerHouse Hit the Deck on zaega.com. I first met Jenny while working at Aveda several years ago -she was our on site personal trainer and wellness / fitness instructor, and I was a new mom for the second time trying to find that inner 20-year old who used to run sub-seven minute miles. Well, it may have been a decade or more since I've run a seven minute mile, but Jenny has kept me inspired over the years to stay fit and healthy, even when I have my down days (uh, weeks...ok, maybe months).
You see, while Jenny may look like a superhero, with her single digit fat % and ripped abs, she's really a lot like me (no laughing!) Her blog shares her day to day struggles with scheduling workouts in between time with family and traveling for work. (Jenny travels internationally speaking to corporate executives about eating and exercising to increase energy and reduce stress). I can't help but feel inspired to get moving and get healthier when I read the messages she share on her site, because her voice sounds so much like my own. Underneath that superhero exterior is a real person, a real mom -doing the best she can every day.
So, if Jenny can be a superhero, why can't I? Why can't you? Why not now?
